Under the Executive Program signed between Egypt and Belgium, the Missions Department of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education is offering university academics the chance to pursue Doctoral programmes (Data Collection) in Belgium. Scholarships cover the following disciplines (medicine – genetic engineering – science – agriculture).
Duration: 10 monthsEligibility
*Applicants must be nationals of, and residing in Egypt;
*Not being older than 35 years;
*Demonstrating a professional occupation as an assistant lecturer or an assistant researcher at a public university or a research center for at least two years;
*Having registered for a PhD.
Merits
-840 as a monthly stipend;
-540.30 as registration fees (to be given only one time);
-Health insurance in accordance with the Belgian law.
-The scholarship does not bear the costs of travel.
-Selected fellows will be treated financially on an equal footing as members of missions.
Required Application Documents
*Resume written in Arabic and English.
*Letter of Nomination from the applicant's home institution –temporarily- until passing the personal interview.
*A letter from the institution where the applicant has registered for his/her PhD degree, containing registration data (Supervision Committee – Date of Registration – Major – Minor – Research Plan).
*Detailed snapshot about the applicant's career history, elaborating his motivation for applying for the scholarship.
*List of publications (if any).
*Detailed presentation of the program of work.
*Approval of the Belgian university in which the candidate wishes to study.
* Minimum TOEFL score of 500 issued by the AMIDEAST.
