    Basics of Nutrition and Food Safety

   Vice-President for Education and Students Professor Ahmed Yusuf Al Qady inaugurated the training program entitled "Basics of Nutrition and Food Safety" which was held during the period 17-19/8/2009. Dean of Faculty of Agriculture Professor Ahmed Abdel Moneim El Shiewy and Vice-Dean of Faculty of Agriculture for Community Service and Environmental Development Professor Magda Soliman Abdullah attended the opening ceremony. Designed to raise the skills of 24 specialists and administrators of University Housing, the program was organized at the HQ of Faculty of Agriculture. It had tackled a wide range of key points, namely the basics of proper nutrition, diet planning principles, the application of modern methods and techniques in the processing and catering food, how to protect food from contamination and pathogens as well as methods of cleanliness to be followed for the receipt and processing of food and above all methods of safe disposal of waste of the university cities.
