With Associate Prof. Dr. Mazen Atia
|
Dr. Mazen Attia is an Associate Professor at the department of Fixed Prosthodontics at Beni-Suef University, and the former head of the department. He is currently Vice Dean of Community Service and Environmental Affairs at Beni-Suef University.
He graduated from Cairo University in 1994 and started working at the military forces hospitals till 2003. At Al-Azhar University, he gained a Masters’s degree in Fixed Prosthodontics (2010) and further obtained a PhD degree in 2013.
|
He has also been a full-time lecturer at Modern University for technology and information (MTI) and a part-time lecturer at MIU (Misr International University) and BUC (Badr University). Furthermore, he has been teaching and supervising dental students at Assiut University and South Valley University.
|
His areas of research include dental ceramic materials, high-performance polymers, and CAD-CAM technology. In addition, he is a visiting research fellow at EPSRC Future Metrology Hub based at the University of Huddersfield in England. He is currently the co-principal investigator of several ongoing research projects on additive manufacturing and polymeric materials.
|
He has authored more than 18 peer-reviewed scientific papers and reviews articles in peer-reviewed international journals on different aspects of prosthetic dentistry, adhesion and restorative materials.
