Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, attended Fayoum University's Orphan Day celebration. The celebration was organized by the Social Activities and Student Families Department of the General Administration of Youth welfare, under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, in cooperation with the Student Union and the Students for Egypt family. The event was attended by Prof. Wael Tobar, General Coordinator of Student Activities, Mrs. Lamia Kassab, Acting Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, and a number of students, children, and their families. The celebration took place on Monday, April 28, 2025, on campus.

Prof. Sherif El-Attar stated that this celebration stems from the university's role as an institution that is not limited to academic education, but extends to its societal and humanitarian role of providing moral support to orphaned children, sharing their joy, and bringing smiles to their faces.

The celebration included entertainment, songs, competitions, puppet shows, as well as the distribution of gifts to the children and taking memorial photos.
