Faculty of Dar Al-Uloom Organizes a Symposium Entitled : “Decent Life”

Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Arafa Sabry Hassan, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs and Supervisor of the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom, witnessed the educational symposium entitled: “ Decent Life”, which was held under the supervision of Prof. Assem Fouad El-Essawy, Vice President of the University for community service and environmental development affairs, during which Dr. Ahmed Gamal Moussa, Deputy General Coordinator of the Decent Life Initiative in Fayoum, lectured.
The symposium was attended by Prof. Mohsen Mohamed Ahmed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Salah Abdel Moez Al-Ashery, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Mohamed Hamid Agila, Vice Dean of Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, and a number of faculty members, staff and students, today, Tuesday, 28/11/2023, at the college headquarters.
Prof. Arafa Sabry confirmed that the symposiums organized by the Decent Life Initiative aim primarily to deepen the spirit of loyalty and belonging among the youth of the country, and to highlight the importance of volunteer work in improving our local community and providing support to complete work with the government executive sector, stressing in the same context the importance of all students exercising their constitutional rights in the current electoral entitlement.
For his part, Prof. Mohsen Mohamed Ahmed praised the efforts made by the Decent Life Foundation to help improve the quality of life for citizens, by focusing on the villages and centers most in need and providing the quality of services that directly target citizens, including eliminating disease and ignorance, road services, and providing clean water and sanitation services.
Dr. Ahmed Gamal Mousa defined volunteer work as providing assistance and effort in order to work towards achieving good in society in general and for its individuals in particular. He called it volunteer work because a person does it voluntarily without being forced by others to do it.
Pointing to the development of the idea of a decent life from an initiative of a group of enthusiastic youth that was adopted by the Presidency until it became a huge institution that provides services worth billions of pounds throughout the Republic.
He listed the services and projects provided by the Decent Life Initiative in its first phase, which included paving roads, providing clean water and sanitation services, establishing integrated complexes for government services, improving the quality of education, and providing job opportunities and projects for the most needy families, indicating that the organization intends to begin soon its second phase.
