Prof. Arafa Sabry Hassan stressed that achieving the desired progress and prosperity will not be achieved unless members of society carry out their duties positively and effectively towards their country, addressing the role of science and scientists in achieving sustainable development goals in all fields and Egypt’s 2030 vision, and working to find clean sources of energy, in order to preserve the rights of future generations and do not harm the environment.

Pointing out that the progress of societies can only be achieved through sincere and competent scientists, especially those affiliated with colleges of science, and the roles they play to confront challenges and find solutions to many issues in various fields.

Addressing the definition of the concept of scientists, and the role of the Union of Scientists in Fayoum, whose members are graduates of the faculties of science, computers and information.

Praising the students of the Faculty of Science at Fayoum University who are distinguished by their good morals and advanced scientific level, especially since the most important research presented during scientific forums is the result of the diligent work of scientists and researchers at the level of the faculties of science.

Prof. Arafa Sabry Hassan directed the students to the importance of political participation during the upcoming constitutional entitlement and casting their votes during the upcoming presidential elections as they are the leaders and hope of the future.

Prof. Saleh Al-Awny also confirmed that Faculty of Science was keen to organize the symposium in cooperation with the Syndicate of Scientific Professions in Fayoum in order to benefit from theoretical research on the ground, especially during the current period due to the efforts made by the political leadership to achieve sustainable development goals, explaining that this development depends primarily on scientists in particular, which means achieving real development at all levels without harming the environment or living creatures.

He also directed the students to play a positive role during the upcoming presidential elections. Just as they have rights, they also have duties. Therefore, it is their responsibility to express their opinions and convictions and the necessity of enjoying effectiveness and critical scientific thinking, especially since development will not be achieved except with their positive participation in all fields.

Prof. Abdel Kareem Abdel Latif added that the current political events at the world level require that members of Egyptian society carry out the role assigned to them, with the aim of preserving the security, safety and reassurance we enjoy. He directed students to the importance of political participation and casting their votes during the upcoming presidential elections to create the desired future and demonstrate what distinguishes us in terms of citizenship, democracy, cooperation, cohesion and patriotism.

Prof. Ahmed Sofy emphasized the expansion and growth of academic and professional fields for members of the faculties of science, a large number of whom work in prestigious positions, and work to address many of the challenges facing the reality of life, pointing to the most important current problems related to the shrinkage of the agricultural area, which heralds the occurrence of a food crisis. Large, as well as the most important viruses that faced the countries of the world during the last period, especially (Corona), which greatly affected the economies of many industrialized countries.

He pointed out that national projects have currently provided a large number of job opportunities, including the Toshka Project, the Ghalioun Project, mining and fisheries projects, and health and educational services. He directed the students of the College of Science to the necessity of continuing education, and determining personal ambitions and goals by developing self-skills to qualify well. for the labor market, and the importance of using summer vacations for self-development.

Dr. Ahmed Atwa continued talking about the importance of students having advanced scientific thinking and the necessity of learning and self-development, addressing the activities of the Scientific Professions Syndicate in Fayoum and the services it provides to members, training courses and scientific trips, and support in overcoming the challenges they face.
