Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, a periodic meeting with the coordinators of the community enlightenment project was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Amal Rabie, Project Director, and in the presence of the project coordinators from the university faculties of Education, Specific Education, Social Work, Dar Al-Ulum, Arts, Early Childhood Education, Archeology, Tourism and Hotels, and Al-Alsun. Prof. Assem El-Essawy said that the number of those freed from illiteracy reached (24,097) until last January session from the people of Fayoum Governorate and our beloved Egypt. Many topics were also discussed, including the final result of the January session, the position of each of the participating faculties, and the schedule of technical and targeted support visits to each faculty to erase their illiteracy. Distributed among the centers in Fayoum Governorate. The statistical statement of the number of open classes and students and the position of each of the participating faculties until the April session was also discussed.

For her part, Prof. Amal Rabie, clarified that the development of Fayoum University’s participation in previous courses, according to the report issued by the Supreme Council of Universities and the Authority for the Eradication of Illiteracy and Adult Education, before the start of the project from 2014: 2020, where 61 illiterates were eradicated. After the beginning of the project, and until January 2024, 24,097 people from Fayoum Governorate and our beloved Egypt were successful. .
