Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, attended the ceremony honoring the winners of the Holy Quran Memorization Competition for the Children of University Employees, in the presence of Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Rashad, Secretary-General of the University, Mr. Amr Mady, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for Financial Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sports Committee, Mrs. Hala El-Sweify, Director-General of the Public Relations and Media Department and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sports Committee, members of the Sports Committee, students participating in the competition, and parents, on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 in the conference hall of the Central Library.

Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata stated that honoring the children of university employees who have memorized the Holy Quran is a tradition that the university is keen to organize every year, as it is one of the important events that encourage students to learn and memorize the Quran, noting that the Holy Quran improves the behavior of children and improves their morals. He congratulated the winning students and their parents, and thanked the members of the Sports Committee for organizing the event. For his part, Prof. Sherif Al-Attar praised the efforts of parents in educating their children and following up with them to reach this distinguished level, and He called on the students to continue and maintain what they have learned to be a role model for their colleagues in the future.

Mr. Ahmed Rashad pointed out the virtues of the Holy Quran, as the Quran raises the status of its bearer on the Day of Judgment, and has positive effects on a person throughout his life, and gains a person wisdom and contemplation, stressing that honoring the children of employees in this competition is a tradition that the university administration is keen to organize every year.

Mr. Amr Mady explained that the participants in the competition were divided into several levels, including: five parts, ten parts, fifteen parts, twenty parts, and thirty parts, where the first three in each level were honored and given certificates of appreciation and money, and certificates of appreciation were delivered to everyone who participated in the competition.

At the end of the ceremony, the members of the competition's judging committee and the members of the sports committee were honored.
