Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, attended the closing ceremony and announcement of the results of the 13th University Scout Festival and the 1st Duo Drama Festival. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Gamal Farag, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Agriculture; Prof. Wael Tobar, General Coordinator of Student Activities; Prof. Ihab El-Maqrany, Chairman of the Duet Theatre Festival Jury; Mrs. Lamia Kassab, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare; Mr. Fattouh Othman Jira, Chairman of the 13th University Scout Festival Jury; and a number of faculty members, staff, and students. The ceremony was held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in Saad Nassar Hall at the university.

Prof. Sherif El-Attar explained that students are the foundation of the educational process and student activities, praising the 13th University Scout Festival, which contributes to instilling in students many leadership skills and ethical values, such as cooperation and a sense of belonging to the homeland. He explained that the Duets Theater, held for the first time in Egyptian universities, reflected many constructive ideas and the emergence of significant artistic talents among university students.

For his part, Prof. Wael Tobar praised the excellence of Fayoum University students at all levels, including academic, cultural, artistic, and athletic. They achieved numerous top positions among Egyptian universities through their participation in various student activities.

During the meeting, the results of the 13th University Scout Festival were announced. The first-level winners were the Faculties of Dar Al-Ulum, Pharmacy, and Agriculture. The second-level winners were the Faculties of Sports Sciences, Tourism and Hotels, and Nursing.

The third-level winners were the Faculties of Engineering, Social Work, Specific Education, Arts, Early Childhood Education, Education, Law, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, University Housing, and Languages.

The ideal Scouter from each faculty was honored, and the festival's special award was given to Adham Shaaban, a student with a disability. As for the results of the Duo Theatre Festival, first place went to the performance "Night 11" from the Faculty of Agriculture, second place went to the performance "The Lake" from the Faculty of Science, and third place was shared between the performance "The Lighthouse" from the Faculty of Engineering and the performance "Behind the Window" from the Faculty of Pharmacy.

In directing, student Mahmoud Mohamed El-Sayed from the Faculty of Agriculture won first place for his performance "Night 11", and student Abdel Rahman Hussein Sayed from the Faculty of Science won second place for his performance "The Lake".

The members of the festival's judging committees and organizers were also honored in recognition of their efforts.
