Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Arafa Sabry Hassan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, delivered a lecture on "Scientific Research Ethics" as part of the workshop organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy on Monday, August 4, 2025.

The lecture was attended by Prof. Mohamed Abdullah Hamzawy, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof.
Salwa Attia, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Ahmed Adel, Acting Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and supervised by Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Acting Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, as well as a number of faculty members and support staff from the Faculties of Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Nursing.

Prof. Arafa Sabry discussed the concept of scientific research, its objectives, mechanisms, and importance. He also addressed the ethics of scientific research, including its concept and sources, the most important ethics that researchers must adhere to, violations and plagiarism, some forms of which may result in penalties for those proven to have engaged in such behavior, and who bears responsibility for observing ethics in scientific research. At the end of the workshop, an open dialogue was held with the attendees from the participating colleges.
