The Closing of the "I Am Also Responsible" Initiative

Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, witnessed the closing ceremony of the "I Am Also Responsible" initiative, which focused on social responsibility and youth leadership. The initiative, hosted by the university over five days in cooperation with the National Training Academy of the Presidency of the Republic, was attended by Prof. Wael Tobar, General Coordinator of Student Activities, Dr. Aya Abdel Salam, and Mr. Mohamed Abu El-Dahab, Training Coordinators at the Academy, along with the participating male and female students. The event was held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, in the conference hall of the Faculty of Nursing.
Prof. Sherif El-Attar emphasized the importance of the initiative, which aims to promote the values of social responsibility and leadership among the youth. The initiative addressed a number of important topics that were carefully and thoughtfully selected, reflecting a comprehensive goal: enhancing the awareness, personal, strategic, and skill-based capabilities of the trainee students. He praised the joint efforts between Fayoum University and the National Training Academy, expressing his hope that the training would be a step toward further cooperation in the near future, and that this initiative would be the beginning of a distinguished career for the participating students.
Prof. Wael Tobar also praised the initiative's efforts, which successfully trained 61 male and female students from Fayoum University in a number of skills targeting behavior and cooperation, creating responsible individuals aware of the many challenges facing the principles and traditions of Egyptian society. The initiative also sought to instill the values of active citizenship and belonging in students, contributing to enhancing their awareness of their pivotal role in achieving development and enabling them to grasp the concepts of responsibility in all its societal, voluntary, life, and developmental dimensions.
Dr. Aya Abdel Salam emphasized the National Training Academy's commitment to providing comprehensive training content that keeps pace with the challenges of the times. Over the course of five days, students received intensive training workshops on a variety of skills, delivered by a select group of specialized trainers from the academy. She added that the trainees joined a broad base of graduates who will be followed up to enroll in various other programs. She directed the students to the importance of preserving their dreams, self-confidence, perseverance, and striving to spread awareness among their peers, especially as they have become ambassadors for change within their communities. She praised the warm welcome and organization provided by Fayoum University.
Finally, Prof. Sherif El-Attar and the attendees honored Prof. Wael Tobar, General Coordinator of Student Activities, and the organizers for their efforts. They also presented certificates of completion to the students participating in the initiative.
