She addressed several topics, including the manifestations of violence against women in rural Egypt, ways to confront verbal violence and its negative impact on children's upbringing, the phenomenon of early marriage and its causes, the importance of girls' enrollment and education, and the role of women in managing family affairs and contributing to the costs of living. Prof. Ekram Megawer, a member of the unit, continued, noting that violence against women is not an individual issue, but rather a societal issue that affects the entire family. She pointed out that acts of violence, especially verbal violence, leave profound psychological impacts on children and affect their personalities, which negatively impacts society as a whole. She emphasized that empowering women and protecting them from violence contributes to building a cohesive family and a more stable society. The number of women and girls who benefited from the campaign reached 93.
The Community Problems Monitoring Unit, under the supervision of Dr. Basma Abdel Latif Amin, also participated in conducting a field survey to identify the population's needs in the areas of education, health, social services, and services, with a focus on infrastructure, job opportunities, and income improvement. The survey aims to provide an accurate database that supports decision-makers and local development stakeholders in formulating appropriate policies and solutions.
