The Closing of the Leadership Preparation Camp at the University Colleges Level

Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Arafa Sabry, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, witnessed the closing ceremony of the Leadership Preparation Camp. The camp, organized by the General Administration of Youth Welfare, was supervised by Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. The camp was attended by Prof. Wael Tobar, General Coordinator of Student Activities; Dr. Mohamed Mohsen, Cybersecurity Expert; Mrs. Salwa Fouad, Director General of Youth welfare; members of the camp's competition judging committee; and a number of faculty members, administrators, and participating students. The event was held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in the Grand Conference Hall.
Prof. Arafa Sabry emphasized the Egyptian political leadership's commitment to supporting youth and empowering them to assume senior leadership positions. He noted that the camp's convening is of great importance, as it contributes to building the mental, intellectual, and leadership capacities of young people and preparing them to assume responsibility in the future, as young people represent a fundamental pillar in the renaissance of societies and the building of nations.
He directed the students to acquire knowledge and awareness, to be aware of the risks surrounding us, and to be aware of malicious rumors.
In the camp's closing lecture, Dr. Mohamed Mohsen discussed the importance of technological awareness and cybersecurity topics, as a set of practices and technologies aimed at protecting digital systems, networks, and data from malicious attacks and breaches. He reviewed the history of industrial revolutions, including the current information revolution and the unlimited flow of information. He warned students against connecting to the internet in public places, as it poses a significant risk to their private data and bank accounts. He urged them to use communication and technology positively for learning and acquiring knowledge.
In his speech on behalf of the faculty, Prof. Adel Abdel Aziz Al-Raziq said that the camp sought to instill leadership in the students and teach them necessary skills for the future, such as working under pressure, flexibility, and teamwork. It also contributed to discovering numerous talents among students in the fields of drawing, singing, poetry, and acting.
Prof. Wael Tobar announced the results of the camp's competitions, which were as follows:
Drawing Competition: Fadia Mohamed Farag (Faculty of Specific Education) won third place, Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Karim (Faculty of Social Work) won second place, and Ahmed Gamal (Faculty of Agriculture) won first place.
Singing Competition: Omar Gomaa Sayed (Faculty of Agriculture) and Abdel Rahman Nasser won third place, while Ahmed Sayed Ragab (Faculty of Science) came in second, and Ahmed Mohamed Ishaq (Faculty of Social Work) took first place.
Sketch Competition: The Faculty of Science team took third place, the Faculty of Agriculture, Computers, and Artificial Intelligence team took second place, and the Faculty of Social Work team took first place.
Wall Magazine Competition: The Faculty of Science took third place, the Faculty of Specific Education took second place, and the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence took first place.
Information League Competition: The Faculty of Social Work took third place, the University Cities took second place, and the Faculty of Medicine took first place.
Poetry Competition: Moaz Khaled Sayed (Faculty of Education) took third place, George Adel (Faculty of Agriculture) and Abdel Rahman Emad (Faculty of Engineering) took second place, and Mahmoud Seif (Faculty of Science) took first place.
Five-a-side Football Competition: The Faculty of Agriculture took first place, the Faculty of Specific Education took second place, and the Faculty of Nursing took third place. Athletics Competition - 100m Run: Second place: Mahmoud Ashraf, first place: Ahmed Abdullah.
Tug of War Competition: Second place: College of Nursing, first place: College of Computers and Artificial Intelligence.
100m Run Competition: Radwa Ayman, third place: Mariam Ahmed, second place: Radwa Mahmoud.
Penalty Kick Competition: Third place: College of Science, second place: College of Social Work, first place: College of Sports Science.
Ideal Student Competition: Yumna Ayman (College of Engineering) and Nourseen Mohamed (College of Agriculture) won first place, while Mahmoud Abu Al-Qasim Tawfiq (College of Agriculture) won first place.
Workshop Competition: Third place: College of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, second place: College of Archaeology, and first place: College of Agriculture.
Chess Competition: Third place: College of Specific Education, second place: College of Agriculture, and first place: College of Arts.
Student Chess Competition: Third place went to the College of Sports Science, second place to the College of Sciences, and first place to the College of Tourism.
The College of Specific Education won the Discipline Cup.
The overall rankings were: third place to the College of Sciences, second place to the College of Social Work, and first place to the College of Agriculture.
On the sidelines of the closing ceremony, Dr. Mohammad Mohsen was honored in recognition of his efforts, as were the members of the judging committee and the camp organizers.
