Under the auspices of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, attended an introductory meeting explaining the rules for deferring student military recruitment at Fayoum University colleges and institutes. Colonel Ali Mansy, Head of the Fayoum Recruitment and Mobilization Department and Commander of the Military Liaison Office, attended the meeting, which was held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the Faculty of Law.

Prof. Sherif El-Attar explained that the meeting aimed to convey the directives and instructions of the Armed Forces regarding the rules for deferring student military recruitment at the university's colleges and institutes, so that they can be implemented correctly and accurately, especially with the approaching start of the new academic year (2025/2026). During the meeting, Colonel Ali Mansy reviewed the rules for deferring student military recruitment and the mechanisms for accurately recording student data through a robust database. He noted that periodic reports will be prepared on the work of colleges and institutes in this regard and evaluated by specialized committees affiliated with the conscription area, contributing to the creation of accurate aggregated data statistics. He emphasized that the meeting's objectives include establishing direct communication channels with relevant college stakeholders to overcome obstacles and answer all inquiries related to the conscription status of students and graduates. He also explained how to benefit from the conscription services provided to citizens.
