Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, inaugurated the "Sustainable Arts" student exhibition of the Department of Art Education at the Faculty of Specific Education. The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Hany Abdel-Badie, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Ahmed Fathy, Former Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Ghada Yassen, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Maha Seif El-Din, Lecturer in the Department of Art Education and Exhibition Supervisor; and a number of faculty members and students. The exhibition was held on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Faculty's headquarters.

Prof. Sherif El-Attar praised the artistic vision presented by the exhibition in transforming simple and sustainable materials into artistic pieces of aesthetic value. He affirmed the university administration's support for all activities that contribute to preparing a generation of creative individuals capable of employing art to serve society.

Prof. Hany Abdel-Badie explained that the exhibition represents a link between academic and practical application, highlighting how art can be a tool for sustainability and transforming simple materials into innovative designs. Dr. Maha Seif El-Din explained that the exhibition's concept is based on employing environmentally friendly and sustainable materials to produce utilitarian artworks. She noted that the students used a variety of natural and recycled materials, such as threads, wood, fabrics, and other local materials, to create the artwork, textiles, and sculptures.
