Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Major General Atef Abdel Raouf, Director of the Military Academy for Postgraduate Studies and Strategy, and the supervision of Prof. Assem Fouad El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Major General Mahmoud Mohamed Mahmoud Amin, Director of the National Defense College, and Major General Dr. Saeed El-Salhy, Course Supervisor and Advisor at the Military Academy for Postgraduate Studies and Strategy, the third day of the Strategic Studies and National Security Cultural Course continued. The course is held in cooperation between Fayoum University and the Military Academy for Postgraduate Studies and Strategy. Dr. Faiza Khattab, Lecturer at the Military Academy for Postgraduate Studies and Strategy, delivered a lecture on the topic "Strategic Planning: Keys to Institutional Success." The lecture was attended by Prof. Wafaa Yousry, Director of the Public Service Center for Community Development at the university, and a number of trainees from the faculty, administrators, and students. The event was held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in the conference hall of Faculty of Social Work. The course will run from October 19 to 22, 2025.

In her speech, Dr. Wafaa Yousry welcomed the attendees, emphasizing that the strategic planning course contributes to equipping individuals and institutions with sound decision-making skills and formulating a vision, mission, values, and objectives, ensuring a clear strategic direction for development and modernization. She also noted that such courses outline a precise future vision and enhance the operational efficiency and intrinsic capabilities of institutions by building team spirit, defining roles and responsibilities, improving risk management, and setting work priorities efficiently and effectively.

For her part, Dr. Faiza Khattab addressed several important topics, including: the steps, stages, and principles of strategic planning; the objectives of strategic programs and basic educational outcomes; the main training themes; the types of plans according to objectives; the general framework for managing strategic planning, its characteristics, and methodology; priority management tools; and the most prominent common challenges in the field of strategic planning.

During her lecture, Dr. Faiza Khattab emphasized that strategic planning is one of the most important pillars of institutional success and sustainable development. She noted that efficiency and effectiveness are the foundation for achieving desired goals, and that building an enlightened strategic mindset among youth and institutional employees contributes to supporting the Egyptian state's journey toward comprehensive development.
