Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs Inspects the Electronic Tests at Faculty of Medicine

Under the auspices of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Mohamed Farouk Ali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, inspected electronic tests at Faculty of Medicine, in presence of Prof. Assem El-Esawy, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Rania Abu Al-Soud Director of the University Information Center supervising the electronic tests, and the Vice Dean of the College of Engineering for Postgraduate Studies, Cultural Relations and Research, on Tuesday 21/6/2022.
Prof. Mohamed Farouk Ali stressed that within the framework of the Egyptian state’s plan to advance the higher education system and raise the efficiency of Egyptian universities to reach the ranks of fourth-generation universities to compete with international universities, as well as to provide a student to society with global standards who can compete in the labor market at the international level, a procedure is being conducted in the medical sector faculties exams electronically, through 4 laboratories comprising 640 computers, linked to the university’s information network, and monitored through an electronic monitoring unit that includes high-quality cameras.
He added that all exam questions are selected from question banks, through specialized exam committees.
While Prof. Assem Al-Essawy indicated that, in implementation of the decisions of the University Council to transfer all exams of Faculty of Medicine to electronic exams, adequate training was provided to faculty members and students, on exam patterns and the method of questions; Which resulted in an improvement in the performance of all students during the tests.
He added that the questions are constantly being statistically evaluated and formulated for continuous development, and that tests were held in 9 courses, during the first semester and 16 courses during the current semester.
Prof. Rania Abu Al-Soud explained that the equipped computer laboratories include the activation of an integrated electronic system for monitoring, control, monitoring and correction electronically, which contains a network of the highest level, and was linked to the university data and information center, as well as the main data and information center in the Administrative Capital, as well as Connecting it to the data and information center of the Supreme Council of Universities.
