Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Dr. Arafa Sabry Hassan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, announced that the university made significant progress in the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP). Its global ranking improved to 1329 among 3,000 universities worldwide (compared to 1386 last year), and nationally, the university ranked 19th among public and private Egyptian universities.

He added that the URAP ranking relies on data from the Web of Science (Clarivate/InCites) and includes 3,000 universities worldwide in its report.

Universities are ranked based on six main performance indicators:

• Number of articles published within a year (current scientific productivity)
|
• Total documents over the past five years
|
• Citation count
|
• Total article impact
|
• Citation impact
|
• International research collaboration rate
