The Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty seeks to serve as a model for counterpart units in the fields of planning, implementation, and provision of quality assurance and accreditation activities in a distinguished manner, based on continuous improvement of performance across various university functions (education and learning, scientific research, and community service).
Mission
The mission of the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Education – Fayoum University is to qualify the Faculty and make it a center of expertise whose activities focus on developing academic and administrative performance in the fields of teaching, learning, research, consultations, and training to achieve continuous development goals.
Beneficiaries
All faculty members, administrators, students, teaching assistants, language instructors, and the local community represented in all schools of education.
Objectives
The Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Education – Fayoum University aims to evaluate academic, administrative, and community performance in order to develop the educational and research processes, serve the community, and promote environmental development, with the objective of obtaining accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, through the following:
- Promoting a culture of quality among faculty members, their assistants, administrative staff, and students within the Faculty.
- Exchanging expertise and ideas related to the development of education, scientific research, and community service activities with counterpart units in Egyptian, Arab, and international universities, and benefiting from them to achieve the desired development.
- Enabling the Faculty to meet the requirements and standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation.
- Gaining community trust in graduates in accordance with national standards by strengthening the relationship between the Faculty and civil society for mutual benefit.
- Developing an executive plan to improve learning outcomes and outputs at the Faculty and following up on its implementation.
- Establishing dedicated databases including (faculty members – teaching assistants – administrative staff – students – programs and courses – graduates) to support decision-making within the Faculty.
- Organizing training courses, conferences, and workshops in the field of quality of education.
- Developing systems for measuring and evaluating performance within the Faculty.
- Preparing and reviewing periodic and annual self-evaluation reports of the Faculty.
- Providing technical support and follow-up for performance evaluation and quality assurance systems within the Faculty.
