Within the framework of the mission of the Faculty of Education, which aims to prepare educational cadres capable of contributing to building a knowledge-based society that can compete locally and globally in accordance with academic accreditation standards, the Faculty of Education seeks to adopt several projects whose primary goal is to enhance the intellectual and skill levels of its students, instill positive attitudes toward their community, and develop their ability to conduct educational research and employ it in solving societal problems. Among these projects is the Peer Training Project, which is included in the list of proposed projects that the Faculty of Education seeks to implement both inside and outside the institution in application of quality assurance and accreditation policies in higher education institutions. Therefore, peer training is considered one of the important projects aimed at improving the knowledge and skills of Faculty of Education students and consequently transferring this experience to their peers through:
Using the peer training strategy to develop linguistic skills (Arabic and English) for non-specialist undergraduate students (Bachelor’s and Licentiate levels), with the aim of making the educational process more effective by shifting its focus from teacher-centered to learner-centered, thereby ensuring the quality of graduates and enhancing their teaching performance skills.
Using the peer training strategy to develop statistical analysis skills among postgraduate students to ensure the quality of scientific research and to meet the needs of civil society for researchers capable of addressing its problems through sound research methodologies.
Working to spread the culture of peer training and to consolidate a culture of quality in academic development, as well as adopting comprehensive quality concepts among students in order to ensure their effective participation in developing the educational process.
