| Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University,

| and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Supervisor of the Education and Student Affairs Sector,

| The Faculty of Pharmacy organized a welcome ceremony for new students and honored outstanding students in various activities from the previous academic year.
|
| The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hamzawy, Dean of the Faculty; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Adel, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Ahmed Ismail, Student Activities Coordinator at the Faculty; several faculty members, staff, and students. It took place on Wednesday, 9 October 2024, at the Faculty.

| Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hamzawy expressed his delight at welcoming new students to the Faculty of Pharmacy, a young institution with distinguished academic staff and many teaching assistants who are graduates of the Faculty. He encouraged students to work hard and excel to contribute to the Faculty’s journey.
|
| He emphasized the Faculty’s role in preparing a generation of outstanding pharmacists capable of facing future challenges and reiterated the Faculty’s commitment to providing an educational environment that fosters innovation and academic excellence.
|
| Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Adel spoke about the role of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in serving students and the university community through seminars, workshops, and initiatives during the academic year, adding that the Faculty continually strives to raise environmental awareness and encourage student participation in various environmental initiatives.
|
| Dr. Ahmed Ismail stressed the importance of active student participation in extracurricular activities, noting that the Faculty offers many opportunities for talented students to participate in committees and student groups. He emphasized that involvement in student activities contributes to developing personal, cognitive, and academic skills.
|
| During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hamzawy honored students who excelled in various activities during the academic year 2023/2024.
|
| In a thoughtful gesture, he also honored the family of the late Mr. Sayed Ramadan, a staff member at the Faculty, in recognition of his years of service and admirable character.
