Under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, witnessed the closing of the activities of the Ninth Forum for Ideal Students and the Second Forum for Ambassadors of Goodwill for Students of Determination organized by Fayoum University, in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Farouk Ali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Arafa Sabry, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Taya Abdel Latif, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for student activities, Prof. Wael Tobar, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University, members of the jury for the final and first stages, and a number of deans of faculties, faculty members, employees and students participating in the forum, today, Wednesday, May 10, 2023 in the Grand Celebration Hall.

Prof. Yasser Hatata stated that the aim of holding the forum is to work to achieve communication, cohesion and competition between students in various scientific, cultural and social fields, and to exchange experiences and cultures.
|
He thanked all the participating delegations from various universities in Egypt, which amounted to 16 governmental and private universities, including 32 male and 32 female students, stressing that all participants were winners, stressing Fayoum University's keenness to host the forum every year.
|
While Prof. Mohamed Farouk Ali said that student activities are essential complements to the educational process; by which students gain responsibility towards themselves, their colleagues and their community.
|
He praised the organization of the second forum of goodwill ambassadors for students of determination, and aims to select an ambassador and deputy of goodwill for students of determination for each sector of the Republic, to work on exchanging experiences regarding services provided to students of determination in various universities in Egypt.
|
He thanked all the participants and organizers of the forum.
|
For his part, Prof. Taya Abdul Latif praised the distinguished organization of the forum in all aspects, and the transparency enjoyed by the members of the arbitration committee from inside and outside the university, stressing that the university includes a number of leading leaders within the university.
|
He directed the students to take care to participate in the various student activities, to constantly learn, to gain experience, to communicate with the professors, to benefit from their expertise, and to prepare for the future well in light of the Egyptian state's interest in creative youth.

While Dr. Hassan El Sobky, the supervisor of the Sadat University delegation, in his speech representing the participating delegations, thanked the Fayoum University administration for its distinguished organization of the forum, good reception, hospitality, cooperation and facilitating all obstacles in front of all participants.

The first place in the "Ideal Male Student Competition" is the student / Abdel Rahman Mohamed Sayed, Fayoum University, the second place is the student / Kareem Hossam Talaat, Alexandria University, and the third place is the student / Mohamed Mostafa Ahmed.

In the "Ideal Female Student Competition", the student / Azhar Ahmed Abdel-Al won the first place, the student / Salma Mohamed Mohamed, Menoufia University, the second place, and the student / Renad Ahmed Obaid, Luxor University, won the third place.
|
In the collective awards, Menoufia University came in first place, Fayoum in second place, and Alexandria third.

In the "Goodwill Ambassadors Competition", Benha University won the award for ambassador and deputy ambassador of the Greater Cairo sector, Zagazig University won the award for ambassador and deputy ambassador of the Central and South Delta sector, Sohag University won the award for ambassador and deputy ambassador of the central and southern Upper Egypt sector, and Kafr El-Sheikh University won the award for ambassador and deputy ambassador of the sector North of the Delta and the coast, and Fayoum University won the award for ambassador and deputy ambassador of North Upper Egypt, and Suez Canal University won the award for ambassador and deputy ambassador of the Suez and Canal sector.

The closing ceremony witnessed an artistic concert presented by the Fayoum University choir, in addition to a number of artistic and poetic paragraphs presented by students of determination.
