Fayoum University was able to maintain a distinguished global ranking in the CWUR. In the Global 2000 List by The Center for World University Rankings- CWUR at the local level, the university ranked ninth in relation to Egyptian universities (public and private).

It is worth noting that the CWUR has been issued since 2012 and is concerned with publishing the list of the top 2000 universities out of 20000 universities worldwide. It also provides advisory services to educational institutions to improve their research and academic performance.

The ranking is based on 4 main indicators, namely:

(1) Education quality.

Quality of education 25%

(2) graduate employment.

Alumni employment 25%
|
(3) the quality of the performance of faculty members.

Quality of staff 10%
|
(4) Research performance 40%, divided into:

(a) The total number of research.
|
(B) Number of research papers published in top journals.
|
(c) The number of research papers published in the most influential journals.

(d) The number of citations.
