Under the auspices of Prof. Yasser Hatata, President of Fayoum University, and the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Farouk, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the University Information Center headed by Prof. Rania Abu Al-Soud, represented by the Center for Management Information Systems headed by Dr. Shaima Youssef, launched a platform "Darak” for university residence cities.

Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata said that the launch of the platform comes within the framework of the university's plan to transform the university into a smart university that provides its services to students electronically.

He explained that the university is taking serious steps towards digital transformation in all university faculties.

For his part, Prof. Mohamed Farouk Al-Khabeery confirmed that the platform works to automate all steps and procedures related to the student during his full residence in the university city, starting with electronic registration to join university residence cities, whether for old or new students (male and female students), passing through the conditions of admission and all that relates to housing procedures, as well as issuing exit permits and all with regard to nutrition, as well as the application of all regulations, follow-up of the work system within cities, and ending with the student’s release.

While Prof. Rania Abu Al-Soud that all the data of the old students applying on the platform is linked to the MIS system in order to verify the accuracy and validity of the data, and thus each student has a file that contains all the information and data related to him from his first day in the residence city until graduation.
