In the presence of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Ashraf Sobhy Minister of Youth and Sports, Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, and Prof. Mohamed Farouk Al-Khabeery, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, witnessed the opening ceremony of the Thirteenth University Youth Week, which will be held from the eighth to the fourteenth of this month of September, and is hosted by Helwan University with the participation of 45 Egyptian universities in the presence of the leaders of the Ministry of Higher Education and the presidents and deputies of the participating universities in the covered hall at Helwan University.

The Fayoum University delegation includes 110 male and female students under the supervision of Prof. Wael Tobar, General Coordinator of Student Activities at Fayoum University.

It is noteworthy that Fayoum University participates in a number of competitions, activities and events during the Universities Youth Week. In the sports competition, the male handball teams, the male volleyball teams, and the male five-a-side football team participate in the sports competition, while the male and female teams compete in the table tennis competition.

The Fayoum University choral team, led by Maestro Wael Hamdy, will also compete in the artistic competition, in addition to a fine arts exhibition and a sculpture workshop.

In the cultural field, Fayoum University competes in the Holy Quran and Al-Hadith Al-Sherif competitions, the Information Race League, the poetry competition (classical and colloquial), the radio and television correspondent competition, Arabic calligraphy, and religious chanting.

Competitions continue in scientific and social activities in the programming competition, the best presentation, and the best electronic device, in addition to the scientific exhibition, as well as competitions for exemplary male and female students, chess, medical convoys, and the mobile competition with the mobile team and Fayoum University mobile phones.
