Vice President of Fayoum University Holds a Meeting in Preparation for Welcoming Students for the New Academic Year

Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof.

Assem Fouad El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Supervisor of the Education and Student Affairs Sector, held a meeting with the General Administration of Youth Welfare. The meeting was attended by Prof. Wael Tobar, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University, Ms. Lamia Kassab, General Director of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, and the directors of various departments within the General Administration of Youth Welfare. The meeting took place on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
The meeting discussed several important topics, most notably the organization of a full week to welcome new students for the new academic year. The welcoming program will include a flag-raising ceremony and various activities and events throughout the week on campus.
Additionally, the meeting addressed preparations for Fayoum University's celebration of the glorious October War victories, including organizing, for the first time, a special carnival for the October victories. Each faculty will contribute artistic performances, and the carnival will feature cultural and artistic competitions about the October War, as well as a seminar on the war's victories. This will be a collaboration between the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector and the Education and Student Affairs Sector.
The meeting also discussed the plan for student activities for the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, agreeing on a unified plan across all university faculties to be implemented by the General Administration of Youth Welfare through its various departments.
Finally, the meeting addressed the social solidarity file for students eligible for financial support. A list is being prepared by the General Administration of Youth Welfare with the names of students in need, to facilitate the payment of their tuition fees and housing arrangements in university dormitories for non-resident students.
