The Education and Student Affairs Council Holds Its 214th Meeting

Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Supervisor of the Education and Student Affairs Sector, attended the 214th meeting of the Education and Student Affairs Council. The meeting was held in the presence of the esteemed council members on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the Central Library.
Prof. Assem El-Essawy stated that the council discussed the university agenda for the academic year 2024/2025, ensuring alignment with the timeline approved by the Supreme Council of Universities. The council also reviewed the formation of the Central Social Solidarity Fund's Board of Directors for the 2024/2025 academic year, in accordance with the fund’s regulations.
He pointed out that the council discussed the report of the committee formed to review the regulations of the "Engineering Restoration of Historical and Heritage Buildings" program between the Faculties of Archaeology and Engineering, under the credit hours system, after incorporating the committee's proposed amendments.
Additionally, the council reviewed the decision of the Faculty of Science Council, approving the proposed amendments by the Basic Science Sector Committee to the new undergraduate study regulations under the credit hours system. The council also discussed the decision of the Faculty of Dentistry to approve the renaming of courses for the third, fourth, and fifth levels under the credit hours system, as well as the renaming of the Prosthetic Dentistry department from "Removable Prosthodontics" to "Prosthetic Dentistry."
