Under the auspices of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, the Board of Directors of the Community Problems Monitoring and Study Unit at the University met, headed by Prof.
Assem Fouad El-Essawy, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Chairman of the Unit’s Board of Directors, and in the presence of the Board of Directors members: Prof. Arafa Sabry, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Sherif Mohamed Sabry Al-Attar, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Samy Al-Tony, Deputy Governor of Fayoum, Prof. Ahmed Hosny Ibrahim, Dean of Faculty of Social Work, Prof.Mohamed Helmy Khafagy, Acting Dean of Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Prof. Samia Al-Sayed Gouda, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Samir Seif Al-Yazl, Full-time Professor at the Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Basma Abdel Latif Amin, Director of the Unit, Dr. Hossam Shaaban Zayed, Head of the Regional Branch of the Environmental Affairs Agency in Fayoum, and Mr. Essam Abu Al-Qasim Azab, Vice President of the Kom Aushim Region Investors Association, Mrs. Ghada Moustafa Sedeq, Director of the Office of the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Mr. Abdel Nasser Bakry, Director of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department of Specialized Centers, met on Monday, March 18, 2025. The agenda items were discussed, with approval given to the unit to hold three training courses focusing on raising awareness of environmental requirements for factories, qualifying for a white license, and occupational safety and health standards. Approval was also given to the unit's participation in community convoys organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector to monitor local community problems and prepare scientific studies to develop solutions and procedural mechanisms. It was recommended that an executive committee be formed consisting of a group of experts in various scientific disciplines at the university.
