Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, attended the "Golden Flute in Quran Recitation Rules" competition across the university's faculties. The competition was organized under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, by the Department of Scientific and Technological Activities at the General Administration of Youth Welfare. The event was attended by Prof. Wael Tobar, General Coordinator of Student Activities, the members of the judging committee, Prof. Sayed Ahmed El-Haddad, Dr. Ihab Khaled, Dr. Omar Gomaa Hamed, and the participating students. The competition was held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the Central Library.

Prof. Sherif El-Attar emphasized that the competition aims to select the top three students in Quran recitation.

The judging rules stipulate evaluating mastery of the rules of recitation, consideration of pauses and transitions between stations, eloquence of voice, quality of intonation, and correctness of recitation.

The event will extend over two days, with the participation of 100 male and female students from 17 colleges. Interviews will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by the selection of the final list of competitors and the announcement of the results.
