Cooperation Agreement Between the Faculty of Medicine and the Minimally Invasive Surgery Society of Egypt

Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Medicine and the Minimally Invasive Surgery Society of Egypt. The agreement was signed by Prof. Naglaa El-Sherbiny, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, representing Fayoum University, and Prof. Hossam Abdel-Majeed Abdo, representing the Society, on Sunday, April 6, 2025. The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Haitham Badran, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Fayoum University Hospitals, Prof. Karim Labib, Scientific Secretary of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Society of Egypt, and Dr. Mohamed Magdy, Head of the Training Unit of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Society of Egypt.
Prof. Assem El-Essawy stated that the cooperation agreement includes practical and theoretical training for gynecologists in the field of surgical and hysteroscopic procedures to enhance the level of physicians. The agreement includes training a number of the association's doctors at the Gynecological Endoscopy Unit at Fayoum University Hospitals. Trainees will be awarded a certificate of completion, with the training lasting four months. Prof. Naglaa El-Sherbiny confirmed that the two parties agreed that doctors from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Medicine would attend practical conferences organized by the Minimally Invasive Surgery Society of Egypt, upon nomination by the department head. The association will provide qualified trainers.
