Prof. Arafa Sabry Hassan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, announced that Fayoum University has achieved remarkable progress in the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) rankings, with its global ranking rising to 1329th among 3,000 universities worldwide (compared to 1386th last year) under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University. Locally, the university ranked 19th among Egyptian public and private universities.

He added that the URAP ranking is based on data collected from the Web of Science database (Clarivate/InCites), and 3,000 universities worldwide are included in the report issued by the ranking. Universities were ranked based on their academic performance using six key indicators, including the number of articles published within a single year (Articles (current scientific productivity)), the number of articles published over the past five years (Total Documents), the number of citations, the total impact of articles, the total impact of citations, and the rate of international collaboration.
