Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Arafa Sabry Hassan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, announced that according to the CWUR rankings, Fayoum University has maintained its distinguished global ranking in the CWUR Global 2000 List by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR). The university appeared among the top 7.1% of universities out of 21,462 universities ranked, ranking 1,514th globally and 42nd among African universities. Locally, the university ranked 15th among Egyptian public and private universities.

It is worth noting that the CWUR rankings have been published since 2012 and publish a list of the top 2,000 universities out of more than 20,000 universities worldwide. The university also provides consulting services to educational institutions to improve their research and academic performance. The ranking is based on four main indicators:

- Alumni employment (25%)

- Quality of faculty performance (10%)

- Research performance (40%(
|
This indicator is divided into the total number of research papers, the number of research papers published in the top journals, the number of research papers published in the highest-impact journals, and the number of citations.
