Meeting of Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Council No. 211

Under the auspices of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Council held its 211 session, chaired by Prof. Assem Al-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and attended by the esteemed members of the Council, on Sunday, August 18, 2025, in the university's Grand Celebration Hall.
It is worth noting that the Council extended its sincere thanks and appreciation to the members from abroad for their efforts during the 2024/2025 academic year, which enhanced the efforts of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in implementing and ensuring the success of the events and activities held. The Council also congratulated and honored a number of former vice deans.
The Council was also informed of the decision of the Supreme Council of Universities dated April 26, 2025, regarding the establishment of the "Tamkeen" Central Unit, established by Ministerial Resolution No. 443 of 2025, at the General Office of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The Council was also informed of University Council Resolution No. 240 dated July 31, 2025, approving a 50% reduction in summer semester tuition fees for students with disabilities in all university colleges. The Council also approved amending some provisions of University Council Resolution No. (108) held on June 24, 2015, regarding the rules governing the acceptance of foreign language proficiency certificates. The Council also approved exempting fourth-year students from abroad (old regulations) enrolled in university colleges before the 2022/2023 academic year from completing literacy courses as a graduation requirement, in accordance with University Council Resolution No. (215) dated June 21, 2023, regarding literacy. The Council also approved exempting imprisoned students from University Council Resolution No. (215) dated June 21, 2023, regarding literacy.
The Council also discussed some protocols and cooperation agreements for entities wishing to cooperate with the Community Service Sector.
