Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, accompanied by Prof. Assem Fouad Al-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, witnessed the launch of the second edition of the "Be Ready" initiative, under the slogan "One Million Innovative Qualified People" (Be Ready-1M). The initiative was launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the patronage of Prof. Ayman Ashour, in partnership with several international and regional institutions, at the University Center for Career Development on Sunday, August 24, 2025. The event was attended by Prof. Emad Abdel Salam, Media Advisor to the University President and Director of the University Center for Career Development, and Dr. Eslam Salem, Deputy Director of the Center.

Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata expressed his great happiness with the launch of the second phase of the "Be Ready" presidential initiative, stressing that it reflects the state's commitment to investing in the energies of young people and equipping them with skills that meet the needs of the local and international labor market. He explained that investing in youth is an investment in the future, especially in light of the accelerating technological boom that requires capacity development and skill retraining to keep pace with tomorrow's jobs.

He also held a discussion with some of the trainees about the importance of training and its objectives in refining and acquiring skills that qualify for the labor market.

Prof. Assem El-Essawy emphasized that the "Be Ready" initiative is one of the mechanisms for implementing the presidential "Alliance and Development" initiative, explaining that it aims to train and qualify one million students and graduates with academic, practical, digital, and entrepreneurial skills, qualifying them to compete in future jobs. He urged the trainees to take advantage of the training provided by Fayoum University.

For his part, Prof. Emad Abdel Salam stated that the first week of the initiative witnessed the attendance of 60 trainees, comprising 24 graduates and 36 students, representing the following colleges: Arts, Specific Education, Education, Tourism and Hotels, Law, Archaeology, Agriculture, Social Work, Sports Science, Science, Early Childhood Education, Nursing, and Engineering. The training activities will continue for five days at the University Center for Professional Development. It is worth noting that the "Be Ready" initiative is one of the implementation mechanisms of the presidential initiative "Alliance and Development," under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in cooperation with several strategic and international partners, including: the Education Development Fund of the Prime Minister's Office, the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), the Global Innovation Institute (GInI), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, ALX Africa, the International Labor Organization (ILO), and IPDE.
