Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, received in the presence of Prof. Arafa Sabry Hassan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies, Cultural Relations and Research and Head of the Internal Awards Team at the University, Prof. Assem Al-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Sherif Al-Attar, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, Prof. Mona Hagras, Assistant Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, and the Supreme Council of Universities team, Dr. Ahmed Sedeq, Director of Evaluation and Quality at the Egypt Award for Government Excellence, and the award’s work team, and the members of the jury of Fayoum University Award for Internal Excellence in its first edition 2025, Prof. Mahmoud Zaky, Former President of Tanta University, and Prof. Mohamed Abd Rabbo, Dean of the Productivity and Quality Institute at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, in the presence of Dr. Ziad Salah El-Din, Head of the Evaluation Teams.

The ceremony was held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in the Grand Celebration Hall, at the University's internal awards team, including Dr. Hossam El-Din Yousry, accredited assessor and project manager for the Egypt Award for Excellence in Government, and members of the university's internal awards team: Prof. Masoud Ismail Masoud Shahin, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence for Community Service and Environmental Development, Portal Manager, and Technology Support Officer; Prof. Tamer Magdy Issa, Director of the Quality Assurance and Strategic Planning Center and Evaluation Officer; Ms. Hala El-Swaify, General Director of Public Relations and Media and Operations and Logistics Officer; and Ms.
Amira Hassan Gabriel, Communications and Public Relations Officer; as well as assessors from the university's academic and administrative bodies. The ceremony was held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in the Grand Celebration Hall.

Prof. Arafa Sabry explained that the Egypt Award for Excellence in Government was in line with the Egyptian state's directives and its vision for sustainable development 2030. The award aims to build an administrative team characterized by efficiency, effectiveness, innovation, and knowledge. He noted that the university has participated in the Egypt Award for Excellence in Government since its inception, and has been participating for four consecutive years. He confirmed the participation of 18 of the university's faculties, preparing three faculties to participate in the upcoming 2026 edition of the national award, the "Egypt Award for Government Excellence." He added that 21 evaluators participated in the evaluation process, praising the outstanding excellence of all participants and thanking the award's working team from both inside and outside the university.

Prof. Mona Hegras explained that the evaluators received intensive training, exerted great efforts, and acquired a significant amount of knowledge, skills, and the ability to acquire new skills.

She highlighted the importance of excellence in higher education, as we need to work institutionally in this regard.

Dr. Ahmed Sedek stated that institutional excellence is an ongoing journey that requires a constant commitment to improvement and development, emphasizing the strategic partnership between the Supreme Council of Universities and the Egypt Award for Government Excellence.

Dr. Hossam El-Din Yousry gave a presentation on the first edition of the Fayoum University Award for Internal Excellence in 2025. Dr. Ziad Salah El-Din also gave a presentation on the evaluation of the Fayoum University Award for Internal Excellence and presented the results. During the visit, commemorative shields were exchanged, as Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata handed over the Fayoum University shield to Prof. Mona Hegras, Assistant Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, and to Dr. Ahmed Sedek, Director of Evaluation and Quality, for the Egypt Government Excellence Award. Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata also received the Egypt Government Excellence Award shield. The university’s internal awards team was also honored and commemorative photos were taken.
