Fayoum University has been featured in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026, where the university was ranked 1201-1500 globally, out of 2,191 universities from 115 countries. The university also ranked fourth among Egyptian universities. It's worth noting that the Times Higher Education World University Rankings is one of the most well-known global rankings. It relies on five key indicators to evaluate universities: First, the teaching indicator (30%), which includes academic reputation, student-to-faculty ratio, bachelor's-to-doctorate ratio, faculty with doctorates, and institutional income. Second, the research indicator (30%), which includes research reputation, research income, and research productivity. The third is the research quality indicator (30%), which includes citations. The fourth is the international relations indicator (7.5%), which includes knowledge transfer and patents. The fifth is the industry and innovation income indicator (2.5%), which includes knowledge transfer and patents.
