Celebrating the 52nd Anniversary of the October Victories and Honoring Participants in the "Best University in Student Activities" Competition

Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, attended the university's celebration of the 52nd anniversary of the glorious October victories. The celebration welcomed new and returning students and honored participants in the Best University Student Activities Competition at the level of Egyptian universities.
The celebration was organized by the General Administration for Student Welfare, the University Student Union, and Students for Egypt, under the supervision of Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and took place on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in the university's Grand Celebration Hall.
The celebration was attended by Brigadier General Sherif Amer, Military Advisor to the Fayoum Governorate; Prof. Arafa Sabry, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Mr. Ahmed Rashad, Secretary General of the University; Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Saleh, Director of the Military Education Department at Fayoum University; and a number of deans and deputies, faculty members, administrators, and students.
In his speech, Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata emphasized that the October victories contributed to establishing security and peace, reclaiming land, and preserving the dignity of Egyptians. He praised the great sacrifices made by the Egyptian army to achieve victory.
He pointed out that the war demonstrated the strength of Egyptians' resolve and their determination to stand behind their army, emphasizing that this patriotic spirit should motivate new generations to exert effort and work for the nation.
The university president also directed his students to adhere to the university's values and principles and to strive for good academic achievement, so that they can benefit themselves and their society in the future.
For his part, Prof. Sherif El-Attar emphasized that Fayoum University is keen to celebrate the anniversary of the October victories every year, to inform students of the great sacrifices made in achieving victory and to draw inspiration from the lessons and morals that highlight Egypt's military genius.
He called on students to actively participate in student activities, given their important role in shaping students' personalities and developing their abilities and talents. On the sidelines of the celebration, Brigadier General Sherif Amer, Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Saleh, and members of the Supreme Committee for the Best University Student Activities Competition at the Egyptian University level were honored, as were members of the Executive Committee for drafting and reviewing the competition's technical report.
The university delegation participating in the theatrical performance "Parent Call" as part of the Seasons of University Theater Stars festival was also honored. The students participating in the first Tarab Festival for Music and Singing for university and institute teams were also honored, as were students participating in the first summit forum at Tanta University and the second beach cultural gathering for girls from Egyptian universities in Baltim. Furthermore, student Mohamed Ayman from the Faculty of Sports Science was honored for representing Fayoum University in the 2025 Military Colleges Graduation Ceremony.
The celebration concluded with an artistic performance by the university's national choir, during which the students performed a selection of patriotic songs that expressed a sense of belonging and pride in the homeland.
