Admission Tests for the Sports Tourism Management Program

Under the auspices of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, and under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Farouk Ali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Hamdy Nour El-Din, Dean of Faculty of Physical Education, and Prof. Nagwa Ibrahim Abd Al-Gawad, Dean of Faculty of Tourism and Hotels. Today, admission tests for students who have obtained a high school for the current year, applicants for the Sports Tourism Management Program, which comes in cooperation between the Faculties of Tourism and Hotels and Physical Education, have started.
Where Prof. Hamdy Nour El-Din followed the admission tests in the presence of Prof. Ashraf Al-Abbasy, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Anwar Ihab, program coordinator at Faculty of Physical Education, and Dr. Islam El-Sayed, program coordinator at Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, On Monday, 19/9/2022 at the Student Activities Center.
Prof. Hamdy Nour El-Din explained that the Sports Tourism Management Program is the first program of its kind at the level of Egyptian universities, and aims to integrate the sports field with the tourism field, to provide greater opportunities for graduates in the labor market after graduation. During which the graduate obtains a BA (Sports Tourism Management), which is considered an accredited university degree, through which the graduate can work in the fields of tourism and sports together.
He added that the graduates of the Sports Tourism Management Program will have job opportunities in the tourist areas that qualify them to be familiar with the requirements of tourism, hotel and sports work, allowing multiple job opportunities as a sports coach, fitness trainer, tourist host, massage recovery specialist, physical rehabilitation specialist, and many other fields Which, in turn, contributes to the development of this distinguished sector with specialized and academic thought.
For his part, Prof. Ashraf Al-Abbasy indicated that the Sports Tourism Management Program accepts high school graduates during the previous and current years, and also accepts transfers from non-equivalent colleges, provided that the minimum grades for admission to the faculty of Physical Education are obtained.
He added that the college has received 400 male and female students so far, to take admission tests, which include a physical test, a strength test, a personal test, and a medical examination.
