To be at the top of the Greek and Roman Archaeology departments in
Egypt and the Arab world.
Department Mission
To graduate archaeologists in the fields of Greek and Roman
archaeology, able to meet the local and regional labor market requirements in
the context of the surrounding community service, and development and
competition in the field of archaeology and scientific research at the local and
regional levels.
Department aims
- To prepare a Student able to keep up with modern global trends in
the study of Greek and Roman archaeology.
- To graduate an archaeologist specialized in the fields of Greek and Roman
archaeology both in Egypt and in the Arab world.
- Development of the student's knowledge and skills abilities in the field of
Greek and Roman archaeology study.
- Spreading the archaeological awareness.
- To graduate a scholar able to translate the ancient texts, papyrus documents,
and literature, has knowledge of linguistic origins of modern European
languages.
- Gaining knowledge of the European civilization origins, whether archaeological
or literary
- Focus on the human studies origins and their role in development of the modern
societies.
- Publishing international scientific researches in the fields of Greek and
Roman archaeology.
