Evaluation is considered one of the most important rings of the educational system, and the most interactive element with all components of the educational process: teacher, learner, and curriculum. Without evaluation, its approved standards and specifications, the application of the principle of justice and equal opportunities will be absent, among graduates of the same faculty, and even among graduates of Egyptian universities. Therefore, work was directed towards formulating evaluation standards for all parties of the educational process, updating, developing, and keeping pace with all current technological developments. Hence, the importance of this unit emerges, as it works to improve the level of university graduates who have sufficient ability to meet the requirements of the local and international labor market, which depends on higher learning skills. The importance of this unit is due to its support for each of the following:
- Developing evaluation methods and tools and using modern evaluation methods.
- Achieving speed, accuracy, transparency, and fairness in evaluation, examination, monitoring, and statistics work.
- Contributing to achieving the university's identity.
- Emphasizing the dominance of integrated electronic management that would achieve the quality of the teaching and learning environment at the university and support e-learning.
- Working on building organized question banks that reflect targeted learning outcomes and measure the extent to which program academic standards are achieved.
- Contributing to unifying examination standards and specifications for students of the same specialization in different universities to achieve justice among graduates of Egyptian universities and corresponding faculties.
- Achieving justice among students of the same specialization in corresponding faculties.
- Correcting the course of teaching and learning processes to achieve quality.
- Linking the study program to labor market requirements.
