Faculty of archaeology opened on Monday the 3rd the International Conference on Technology and digitization in preserving documenting and conserving antiquities, running from May23-25, as part of the country’s interest in digitization and modern technology. The conference is under care the president of Fayoum University Prof.DR/ Yasser Hattata, and the supervision Prof.dr /Atef Mansour.
Prof.dr/Yasser Hattata said that the conference is held in cooperation with the University Of Marburg, Germany and It includes an elite of Arabian archaeologists and scientists. He also confirmed that archaeology is very important part of our history.
During his speech, Prof.Dr/Atef Mansour indicated that conference is held under Ciyperspace project in which the faculty participates, emphasizing the importance of digital transformation around the world to digitize and protect antiquities to be available to who interest in antiquities.
He also stated that the faculty usually seeks to cooperate with all institutions all over the world to preserve and document cultural heritage and catch up with evolution with regard to digital transformation
