Purpose of DSO:

Sustainable agricultural development and the preservation of the environment, natural and human resources are the most important requirements of the Egyptian citizen and one of the pillars of national wealth and constitute the most important axes in the development programs that are witnessing a prosperous era at the present time due to the state's care and attention.

Since its inception, Fayoum University has paid great attention to the community service and environment development sector in order to contribute to all relevant developmental (service or investment) fields related to (agriculture, environment, training, etc.) and initiated in collaboration with the Project: Euro-Egyptian Program for Agriculture and Rural Development (DeVilag) to establish The DeVilag Agricultural Consulting and Environment Office as a unit of a special nature within the university as a consultant for conducting studies and researches, providing technical consultations in the field of sustainable agricultural development, holding training courses, workshops, seminars and related exhibitions, conducting field and laboratory tests for water, soil and food and supervising implementation.

The DeVilag Office for Agricultural Consultancy and Environment at Fayoum University "An Egyptian Experience House that works according to international quality standards", which employs the scientific and research capabilities of the faculty members, as well as the laboratory resources available in various faculties of the university, research centres and experts inside and outside Egypt, with the aim of strengthening the interrelationship between the university and the executive state and civil society through research and consulting contracts, and excellent training programs and capacity building, to activate addressing development issues in all its technological, economic, social and human dimensions in all fields for the good of our country Egypt and its progress.
