Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata,
President of Fayoum University, Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for
Education and Student Affairs, attended the celebration organized by the Social
Activities and Student Families Department of the General Administration for
Student Welfare, in cooperation with the Students for Egypt family, on the
occasion of Orphan's Day, Wednesday, April 15, 2026, on the university campus.
Also in attendance were Prof. Mohamed Kamal,
General Coordinator of the Students for Egypt family, Ms. Salwa Ahmed Fouad,
Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare, and a
number of administrators.
Prof. Sherif El-Attar stated that the
university's organization of the Orphan's Day celebration stems from its
ongoing commitment to fulfilling its social and humanitarian role and to
instilling the values of solidarity and compassion among members of society.
He emphasized that this celebration reflects the
university's dedication to caring for orphaned children and integrating them
into an atmosphere of love and care through a range of recreational and
interactive activities, which greatly contribute to bringing joy and happiness
to the children.
He added that Dr. Mohamed Kamal stated that the
celebration included a variety of entertainment segments, interactive
competitions, face painting, and other activities that were very well received
by the children and brought them great joy.
In conclusion, Prof. Sherif Al-Attar distributed
gifts to the approximately 80 participating children amidst an atmosphere of
happiness and delight.
