Under the patronage
of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, and the
supervision of Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student
Affairs, the Holy Quran and Hadith Nawawy Competition was launched across the
university's faculties. The competition, organized by the Cultural Activities
Department of the General Administration of Student Welfare, was held on
Sunday, October 5, 2025, with the jury chaired by Prof. Ali Afify, a professor
in the Department of Sharia at the Faculty of Dar Al-Uloom.
It is worth noting
that the competition will be held over four days. Forty male and female students
representing the Faculties of Languages, Education, Tourism and Hotels, Social
Service, and the Technical Institute of Nursing participated in the first day.
Competition for the remaining faculties will continue in the coming days.
The competition included
tests on memorizing the entire Holy Quran, half of the Holy Quran, and the
Hadith Nawawy.
Awarding will be
given to the top ten winners in the Holy Quran competition and the top five
winners in the Hadith Nawawy competition at the conclusion of the event.
