Prof.
Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, attended a
workshop organized by the General Administration of Student Welfare entitled
"Student Activities Platform", under the patronage of Prof. Yasser
Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University. The workshop was supervised by
Ms. Salwa Ahmed Fouad, Director General of Student welfar on Monday, August 29,
2025, at the Central Library.
The
workshop was attended by Prof. Emad Abdel Salam, Media Advisor to the
University President and Director of the Professional Development Center; Prof.
Rania Shaaban, Director of the Center for Student Services with Disabilities;
Dr. Mohamed Kamal, Coordinator of the Students for Egypt Family; Mr. Abdel
Nasser Bakry, Director General of the Community Service and Environmental
Development Sector; and Ms. Hala El-Swaify, Director General of the General
Administration of Public Relations and Media. The workshop was also attended by
the directors of the offices of the university vice presidents, the directors
of departments in the General Administration of Student Welfare, the directors
of student Welfare at the colleges, and staff.
Prof. Sherif El-Attar emphasized that, since its
inception, Fayoum University has placed great emphasis on building a
scientifically and culturally integrated generation, in addition to student
activities, which contribute effectively to capacity development, talent
refinement, and skill enhancement. He explained that the Student Activities
Platform, launched by the Supreme Council of Universities via its website,
provides a comprehensive window to access all services and activities at the
university level.
He highlighted Fayoum University's excellence in
student activities, achieving advanced rankings among other universities. He
emphasized the commitment to continuing to achieve excellence through
cooperation, dedication, teamwork, and a diversity of activities, as well as
encouraging students to actively participate in student and volunteer
activities. This will enhance Fayoum University's position as an academic
institution that keeps pace with modern requirements.
For
her part, Ms. Salwa Ahmed Fouad explained that the platform's comprehensive
vision is based on integrating student activities into a single entity called
Fayoum University, encompassing a diverse range of undergraduate and student
programs, major university events, and faculties and departmental activities.
This will serve as a supportive window for university activities via the
Supreme Council of Universities' electronic platform. Dr. Ekhlas Zaghloul,
Student Activities Platform Officer at the Supreme Council of Universities,
also reviewed the platform's workflow, the mechanisms for registering and
uploading activities, and monitoring performance and overall evaluation.
The
workshop concluded with an open discussion and responses to attendees'
questions and suggestions.
