The Department of Military and National Education organized the Female Military and National Education Course at Fayoum University on Sunday, April 12, 2026, hosted by the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels.
Prof. Dr. Taher Hassan Mohamed, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels and Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, received Brigadier General Mazhar El-Habyan of the Popular and Military Defense Forces Command, and Brigadier General Tarek El-Shafei, Military Advisor of Fayoum Governorate, during their inspection of the course activities at the Faculty.
The event was attended by Colonel Ahmed Saleh Hendam, Director of the Military and National Education Department at the University, and Mr. Ahmed Hawas, General Coordinator of the Department. The regularity of the course proceedings and the level of organization were closely monitored, with emphasis placed on providing an appropriate environment for the female students.
Prof. Dr. Sherif El-Attar reaffirmed Fayoum University's commitment to instilling the values of national and military education among its students, fostering a sense of belonging, and cultivating positive values that strengthen social responsibility.
Brigadier General Mazhar El-Habyan commended the high level of organization of the course, underlining the keen interest of the Popular and Military Defense Forces Command in raising awareness within universities. Brigadier General Tarek El-Shafei emphasized that cooperation between universities and the armed forces constitutes a fundamental pillar in reinforcing national and societal security.
Colonel Ahmed Saleh Hendam addressed the course participants on key concepts of national security, the importance of intellectual awareness, and the need to counter misinformation, stressing that such courses play a vital role in preparing a conscious generation capable of shouldering national responsibility.
