Scientific Field Trip for Tourism Business Administration Students to Cairo's Most Prominent Tourist Landmarks

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Taher Hassan Mohamed, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University and Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and under the academic supervision of Prof. Dr. Farouk Abdel Nabi, Head of the Department of Tourism Studies, the Department of Tourism Studies organized a scientific field trip for students enrolled in the "Field Training (2)" course within the Tourism Business Administration Program, on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

The visit encompassed a number of prominent tourist landmarks, including the Grand Egyptian Museum, Abdin Palace, and Al-Muizz Street, contributing to the enhancement of students' tourism and cultural awareness and enriching their field experience.

The trip was conducted under the field supervision of:

  • Dr. Paula Hanna – Lecturer, Department of Tourism Studies
  • Ms. Radwa Othman – Teaching Assistant, Department of Tourism Studies
  • Mr. Abdel Hakim Riyad – Teaching Assistant, Department of Tourism Guidance

This visit is part of the Faculty's ongoing commitment to bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application, and to equipping students with the field experience necessary for their professional readiness in the tourism labor market.
