Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, and Prof. Dr. Assem El-Issawi, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Taher Hassan Mohamed, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University and Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mirvat Abdel Hadi, Acting Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty organized an introductory session entitled "Start It at University" on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

The session was implemented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Gheith, Director of the Graduate Follow-Up Unit at the Faculty, with the participation of Eng. Mohamed Hassan Zeidan, Project Manager at the "Athar" Business Accelerator, who delivered a lecture covering the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and the mechanisms for transforming ideas and passion into successful projects in the tourism and hospitality sector.

The session addressed a number of key themes, including an introduction to entrepreneurship and its significance, the development of creative thinking, practical steps for launching a personal project, and an overview of the support and training opportunities available to students and graduates.

The session was met with notable engagement from attendees, as part of the Faculty's ongoing commitment to equipping its students and graduates for the labor market and fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and self-employment in line with the requirements of sustainable development.
