Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Taher Hassan Mohamed, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University and Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Walid El-Hadi Sheikh El-Arab, Head of the Department of Tourism Guidance, students of the Department continued their field training tours in the city of Luxor, where academic knowledge converges with hands-on practice at the world's greatest archaeological sites.
East Bank Tours: The program opened with visits to the Luxor Museum and the Mummification Museum, where students explored the secrets of ancient funerary practices and rare artefacts. This was followed by a comprehensive historical and civilizational introduction at the Karnak Temple Complex with field applications in guidance techniques, a detailed architectural study of Luxor Temple in the heart of the city, and concluded with attendance at the Sound and Light Show to acquaint students with dramatic storytelling methods and modern tourism promotion techniques.
West Bank Tours: The academic convoy crossed to the West Bank to explore the landmarks of the New Kingdom, including a visit to Deir el-Bahari Temple with a study of Queen Hatshepsut's distinctive architectural vision, the Valley of the Kings with guided tours inside the tombs of Ramesses III and IX to understand funerary planning and royal engraving arts, and Medinet Habu Temple with an interactive analysis of its wall reliefs and religious and political evolution.
