Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Featured as a Guest on the "Citizen Sovereignty" Program on Egyptian Television

The program "Citizen Sovereignty," broadcast on Egyptian Television, hosted Prof. Taher Hassan Mohamed Abdel-Hamid, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University, and Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, in an interview addressing a number of important issues related to the tourism sector and tourism education.

He spoke about the tourism assets that Egypt possesses, and the anticipated role of the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum in revitalizing tourism activity and strengthening Egypt's position as a global tourist destination, alongside a review of the distinctive character of the location of faculties of tourism and hotels, and the opportunities it provides for practical field training, which contributes to preparing qualified graduates capable of competing in the labor market.

He also emphasized the importance of practical training in developing students' professional skills, and its role in linking academic study with labor market requirements, noting the need to focus on training workers who are not graduates of tourism faculties or institutes in professional methods of dealing with tourists, thereby contributing to raising the quality of services provided and supporting the competitiveness of Egypt's tourism destination.

This interview comes within the framework of the awareness-raising and academic role undertaken by the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University, in supporting the tourism sector and promoting awareness of the importance of preparing qualified human resources that meet the needs of the tourism labor market.
